The magic of titles...
Last month, a local mystic offered free gifts of magical answers. Intrigued, I immediately signed up to see what was offered. One day, it was “Your New Job Title”, and that one got me excited.
You see, for years, I was obsessed with titles. I mean, they sum you up in a few words, don’t they? I careened through quite a few job titles in my day, and lately, nothing seemed to sit right with me. It felt like uncomfortable clothing, and I would shrug constantly, both physically and metaphorically. I waited with bated breath, wondering if I would finally get some answers.

What does that mean, Lisa?
You’re probably wondering why I was so excited. It was thrilling because of how delightfully on point she was! It was the best gift I’d been given in a long while. The answer I’d been searching for forever.
You see, I’ve been in stuck places my whole life. From a young age, any time I saw an obstacle (and there were plenty), I would do a Roomba Move (before Roombas even existed): back up, assess, and move in another direction. School challenges, friendship misunderstandings, life events, you name it. I’ve lost count of my obstacles in this fifth decade of my life.
This new job title FINALLY tied in together all the work I’ve been doing these last years: writing, offering Reiki healing, reading tarot and oracle cards for people. So many versions and instances of “stuckness”, and it was the core of my Life Purpose.
Going Forward
So, why this Substack? I love writing, and I love helping people. With this focus, I am going to share instances of my being stuck, and what tools I used to overcome them. There will be stories, poems, and more. I will include some travel notes on natural and magical places I visit and discover, book reviews, and items/websites I recommend.
It will be a community, a place where you will hopefully be inspired, laugh, learn and come back for me.
